Lamborghini first began when Ferruccio Lamborghini built tractors from Army surplus parts post WWII. His popularity rapidly grew, and Ferruccio became one of the wealthiest men in Italy.
He bought and drove the finest Exotic cars made, but ran into many problems with his own. After a negative confrontation with Enzo Ferrari, he decided to manufacture his own exotic cars which began in 1963. He began by creating the 350 GT and 400 GT which became very popular supercars.
Since then, Lamborghini spA has had many successful models including the Muira, Countach, Murcielago, Diablo, and Gallardo.
The Lamborghini Gallardo is the top selling Lamborghini of all time. The new 2007 Gallardo is equipped with a 520 hp V10 engine and an all wheel drive system. With a capability of over 200 MPH, you will not be disappointed.
Audi is currently the parent company to Lamborghini and they have currently introduced another Supercar into the market called the R8 in 2007. This car features a 4.2 Liter 420 horsepower V8 which is capable of traveling from 0-60 in 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 187 mph.
The future of Audi looks promising, and they are planning to introduce a supercar that will compete with its rival the Ferrari F430 in the near future.
